The Truth Behind Instagram

In an article by Alex Hern, he talks about Instagram and the truths that lie behind it. The main argument the author is trying to make in this article is that everyone essentially lives a “fake” life on Instagram. People post pictures of themselves or activities they are involved with to promote their self-image. By doing this creates a couple key societal problems in my eyes. The first is jealousy in which people can suffer from mental illnesses due to them being envy of another person’s life. While another problem could be cyberbullying. People with their jealousy could use a coping method such as cyberbullying to belittle the person they are envy of.
