In an article written by Steve Casner, he talks about how fast technology has become so demanding and popular that it did not take long for people to use them behind the wheel. “Drivers in the U.S. use their phones on roughly 88% of all trips and more than half of all young drivers reported engaging in hands-on, head-down reading or typing during the past 30 days.” This quote from this article is very eye-opening because the majority of people nowadays are putting not only themselves in danger when they get into a vehicle, but everyone else who is driving on the road. This example shows how technology can essentially be dangerous when used in the wrong situations. This article relates to my Parenting and Technology class because children learn from observing their parents and surroundings and if they see their parents texting and driving, then they will most likely repeat those actions. Parents need to be aware that many actions they commit influence their children while texting and driving is a very dangerous habit to teach their children. https://time.com/5059457/stop-texting-and-driving/
