Breaking Up: Over Text?

I recently came across an article that discussed that it was okay to break up with someone over the phone as long as you followed the four guidelines the author gave. I wanted to talk about this article because I completely disagree with her. She claims as long as you have gone on fewer than four dates, you want them to hate you, you are better at texting, and you are considering ghosting, then it is okay to break up over the phone. These reasons are so ridiculous I do not even know where to start. The problem with technology nowadays is the fact that it allows you to come up with these ridiculous excuses because you can simply hide behind a screen. I understand if someone has bad anxiety or is extremely shy, but breaking up with someone should always be done in person no if, ands, or buts.
