Relationship Issues: Is Snooping A New Trend?

Is it ever OK to snoop on your partner? - CNN

In this article, the author claims that going through their partner’s phone can sometimes make a relationship stronger. According to a new study, obviously snooping breaches trust issues in which end many relationships; however, couples that survive this act of snooping actually come out with a stronger connection. Out of 46 participants in a conducted study, 21 of them said their relationship ended after the snooping while 25 of the participants claimed their relationship stayed intact. “If the relationship made it past the phone hack, it was because the union was already built on a solid foundation, and the victim considered the friendship or relationship important enough to look past the breach.” After reading this article, I think I may have to now agree with the author and the article. Before reading this article I would have broken up with anyone who decided to snoop through my phone; however, after reading this article I believe I would forgive that person because if I truly cared about them, then I would find a way to forgive them about such a minor incident. This class pertains to my Parenting and Technology class because snooping is considered a new forum when it comes to technology. Snooping stems from paranoia and trust issues, which are all caused primarily to social media and the influence it now has on modern relationships. https://www.theladders.com/career-advice/going-through-your-partners-phone-can-sometimes-make-your-relationship-stronger
